The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) presented the Gardner W. Heidrick Award to Luiz Carlos Cabrera, Managing Partner, Amrop Panelli Motta Cabrera, on March 9th during the AESC 2011 Americas Conference in New York City.
The AESC’s Gardner W. Heidrick Award is presented annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the executive search consulting profession. Ulrich Dade, Chairman of Amrop, presented the 2011 award to Luiz Cabrera, a founding partner of Amrop Panelli Motta Cabrera in Brazil.
“These AESC awards honor distinguished members of the executive search profession who have made valuable contributions to the industry and their communities.” said Peter Felix, President of AESC. “Luiz has been instrumental in the professionalism and growth of the executive search industry in Brazil and Latin America, and has been very active in the governance of the AESC for many years. The AESC was pleased to be able to honor him at our conference.”
Luiz Cabrera, a member of Amrop’s Advisory Board and America’s Council, as well as the International Board of the AESC, is a professor at EAESP – FGV and at IBGC - the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance. He was the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the 2010 CONARH congress, the annual meeting of the Brazilian Association of Human Resource Professionals (ABRH). Additionally, Cabrera has co-authored two books: “Transição 2000” (Transition 2000) and “Se eu fosse você, o que eu faria como gestor de pessoas” (What I would do as a personnel manager if I were you).
