Amrop Announces Five New Partners

Amrop announces the addition of five new Partners to its global network of Context Driven executive search consultants.

Marcello Fontana joins Amrop after more than 25 years in management consulting. His career includes roles as Associate Director, HR & Change Practice at PwC; Director Change Management at Watson Wyatt; and Partner at Boyden International. Marcello’s expertise stretches across different areas from strategy, to organizational design, leadership development, executive coaching and performance management. He is a member of Amrop’s global Leadership Services Practice.

Malcolm Bernstein leads the Amrop Knightsbridge Academic Practice in Canada. His background includes a senior executive search role specializing in the not-for-profit and public sectors, executive positions in Human Resources, Information Technology, and Sales and Marketing, and extensive management consulting in the areas of strategy, organizational and leadership development. Malcolm is on the board of the Strategic Leadership Forum.

Gerald Lee began his executive search career in 2000, after earlier roles at the Airport Authority of Hong Kong and The Economist Conferences. He was previously a partner and Asia Regional Supply Chain Lead at Odgers Berndtson. Prior to that, at Russell Reynolds Associates, he covered both the Industrial and Natural Resources sectors and was responsible for research and later management of senior assignments for US and European multinationals. At Amrop, Gerald will focus on working with clients in the Industrial and NPO sectors, as well as local listed and family-owned companies.

Hendrik Geissler started his professional career at Unilever Computer Service Microsystems, Compaq and DEC. Later, he joined Dell Computer as Managing Director Central Europe and Member of the European Management Group. He began his executive search career in 1999 with TMP Worldwide and was later a managing partner at Gemini Executive Search. Hendrik was also instrumental in building the German business operations for Search Partners as CEO and managing partner focused on the retail, renewable energy, private equity and telecommunications sectors. At Amrop, he works primarily with Multichannel, Retail & Distribution, Advanced Technology and Private Equity clients.

Peter Gitmark joins Amrop from a notable political career where he held a number of high profile positions. He was a Member of the Norwegian Parliament for 12 years, where he was the youngest MP from Southern Norway ever to be elected and reelected. He has also been a member of the board of the Conservative Party’s Parliamentary Group, spokesperson on the Environment, and in his last term the spokesperson on Trade and Development. On the international stage Peter was Chairman of The International Young Democrat Union (IYDU). Peter holds a degree from The Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in Bergen (NHH), with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector.
