Amrop Grows with Nine New Partners

Amrop announces the recent addition of nine new Partners to its global network of Context Driven executive search consultants.

Ricardo Amatto is responsible for Amrop’s Financial Services practice (Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Insurance, Asset & Wealth Management, Credit Cards and Payments and Private Equity) in Brazil. Previously he was a Partner at FESA, focused on executive search for C-level financial services executives. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Sales Executive (South America) at Bloomberg, an important tenure in the financial area at JP Morgan and an early role at Banco Itaú in capital markets.

Prior to joining Amrop, Virginia “Ginny” Clarke served as Founder and CEO of Talent Optimization Partners, a talent and career management consulting firm serving corporate clients. Previously, Ginny was a Partner with Spencer Stuart, where she co-founded and led the global Diversity Practice. Ginny began her career in banking at First National Bank of Chicago (now Chase), and later spent several years in the real estate investment management business with Jones Lang LaSalle and Prudential Real Estate Investors.

Caroline Dever has been promoted to Partner in Melbourne. She spent her early career working as a publicist in film and television before moving into public relations consulting. She worked in consulting and Account Director roles at Recognition PR and The PR Edge, part of the Clemenger Group. At Clemenger, Caroline worked with corporate clients on developing strategies to engage stakeholders, particularly the media. Prior to joining Amrop Cordiner King in 2011, Caroline worked for Heidrick & Struggles, focusing on senior appointments in steel, chemical and manufacturing.

Carlos Fernandes joins Amrop from Cribb Personalberatung GmbH where he was a partner. Previously he worked at Martens & Partner as a consultant and later as a manager at MRI Worldwide. Over more than thirteen years in executive search Carlos has developed a focus on the recruitment of executives for Sales/Marketing and CSO posts. His consulting practice is centered on companies that have or want to have their key operations in the digital/online sphere.

Paul Hill has over 15 years of domestic and international executive search experience, working for Australian-based clients. Before Amrop, he spent three years with Heidrick & Struggles and ten years with KPMG’s Executive Search and Selection practice. Earlier, Paul was Strategic Planning Manager for ExxonMobil, developing investment plans and strategies for its Australian operations. Earlier in his career, Paul lived in the UK working in the financial services sector with Standard Chartered Bank and Citigroup. In recent years, Paul has specialized in higher education search, working with a range of universities across Australia and overseas.

Jeff Holloway has 15 years’ experience in search, with 13 years at Robert Half International (RHI). His most recent role with RHI was as Regional Vice President, Management Resources, where he led the consulting and interim solutions division for the Toronto Area following his previous role as Vice President, Financial Services Group, North America. During his tenure, he received multiple global awards for service delivery and execution. Jeff is a CPA and CA, having articled with PWC prior to finance roles with Manulife and the NHL Players’ Association.

Pii Kotilainen has extensive experience in global multinational companies in telecommunications, mobile devices, consumer packaging and stainless steel. Having experienced several large-scale industrial transformations, she has a broad understanding of organization design, strategy creation and implementation as well as a deep interest in performance culture and leadership. Pii has two decades of experience working with executive search providers from a client perspective. As Chief HR Officer, she has overseen many top executive recruitment and management assessment processes.

Federico Schwalb leads search assignments for senior executives and board members for local and international companies of medium and large-scale, mostly in Mining, Construction, Infrastructure, Energy, and Oil & Gas. He has over twenty-five years’ experience in the mining sector, both in operations and in project development. He was previously Regional Director of Operations for Newmont in Latin America, General Manager and Operations Manager of Yanacocha, Senior Manager of Operations of the Batu Hijau mine, Indonesia for Newmont, as well as CEO of Apurimac Ferrum.

Javier Zabala has held various management positions in Asia, Europe and the Americas in organizations such as Luksic Group, Von Appen Group, Citibank and Gildemeister. Prior to joining Amrop, he worked for three years in management consulting and executive search at Accenture and Korn/Ferry International. Javier studied Civil Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Chile and obtained a Masters in Business Administration from London Business School and is president of London Business School's Chile Alumni Club.
