Amrop Seeliger y Conde has been named 2011’s Best Spanish Company in the United States by the Spanish-American Chamber of Commerce. The award has previously been presented to companies such as Banco Sabadell, Banco Santander and Telefonica.
In his acceptance speech to 350 executives of Spanish companies with operations in the United States, Luis Conde, Chairman of the firm, made a plea for optimism during turbulent times. This is a familiar appeal from the businessman who founded the firm in pre-Olympics Barcelona in 1990, along with Sixte Cambra and Gerardo Seeliger.
“In the midst of a storm like we are going through, optimism brings hope. And if things get even worse, it helps us cope better with tragedy,” Conde said. “The main characteristic of people who succeed is their sense of optimism."
With Eduardo Rabassa as its US Managing Partner, the Seeliger y Conde Group – integrated in the Amrop network since 1995 – also has direct presence in Buenos Aires, Bogota, Mexico City, Monterrey, Caracas, Paris and Casablanca, through Amrop Seeliger y Conde and Seeliger y Conde Internacional, the latter managed by Julio Batista.
