Ricardo Fernández Ribbeck joins Amrop as a Partner in Lima, Peru. He brings significant experience from a longstanding career in the Peruvian and Latin American corporate marketplace, with deep understanding of the organizational structures and capabilities needed for enterprises to face and successfully implement their digital transformation journeys.
Ricardo has more than 30 years of global and multifunctional experience working for the IBM Corporation, in which his last assignment was as Vice President of Enterprise Businesses for the Latin-American region. Previously, he was General Manager for IBM Peru and Bolivia, leading the organization through a period of consistent growth and transformation. Ricardo has also held executive positions in Venezuela, USA and Brazil, that include Sales Direction, Business Planning, Brand Management, Marketing and Distribution.
He is currently a member of the Directive Committee at Centrum Graduate Business School, as well as head of its Information Technology Magister Program. He is also a board member of L+1, a nonprofit organization that brings together leaders in the Peruvian business community working for a sustainable and inclusive economy in Peru.
Ricardo has been a board member of business associations in Peru, such as IPAE and AMCHAM, where he represented Peru on the board of the Americas. He was also Chairman of United Way Peru, and actively involved in other NGOs related to education like Enseña Peru and CREA+.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Universidad de Lima, as well as an MBA from Centrum Graduate Business School in Perú and Tulane University in New Orleans, USA.
